Our Siskiyou Elementary School Concept

Our philosophy for early elementary school inspires young learners to cultivate critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills through engaging discussions and hands-on learning. It empowers children to explore the world around them through the use of self-directed exploration and the sharing of personal observations and experiences. We create a safe and supportive environment where students feel encouraged to express their ideas and listen to one another. We strive to meet both the social-emotional and intellectual needs of each and every student.​​

Our Mascot: The Wolf Puppy

While a Wolf Puppy may not have a specific symbolic meaning beyond representing a young wolf, it embodies the promise of new life and potential for growth.

 

Wolves, known for the unwavering family bonds and loyalty to their pack, inspire a spirit of freedom and independence.  They exemplify intelligence, resourcefulness, strength and courage, encouraging us to embrace these qualities in our own lives.​

 

Our Color: California Orange Poppy

Orance poppies embody health and resilience, radiating warmth and excitement.  They symbolize energy, enthusiasm and creativity. 

 

This vibrant color is a beacon of positive energy, igniting happiness and encouraging self-expression.  Orange inspires confidence, optimism, and a bright outlook on life.

About Our Program

 

Ours is the newest school of the Thermalito Union Elementary School District, specficially focused on meeting the needs of our youngest learners.  We are so fortunate to have people who are extremely knowledgeable about creating developmentally appropriate and engaging learning opportunities to meet the needs of every student.  Siskiyou staff cares about your child and will work hard to put students' best interest first.
