Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP)
In 2013-2014, California introduced a new way of funding public schools called the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF). With LCFF, local school boards now have more flexibility to decide how to use state funds to best meet the needs of their students. The goal is to ensure that every student has access to high-quality education and meaningful opportunities for success.
The Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) is how our district sets goals, plans actions and measures progress under the LCFF. It serves as both a planning tool and a communication tool to show how we are using our resources to improve student outcomes.

The LCAP process is built around community engagement. Each year we review data and assess progress, identify our district's most important needs, discuss how to best use available resources and gather input from parents, staff, students and community members. Your voice is an essential part of the process. We invite all Thermalito families and cummunity members to join us at our upcoming LCAP meetings (see below schedule) to share your ideas and feeback. Together we can ensure that every student in our community has the support and opportunities they need to thrive.​
