• Superintendent's Message

    Dear Thermalito Community:

I truly believe that our schools in the Thermalito Union School District are blessed with the very best in leadership (principals, teachers, classified staff, leadership teams, etc.) to help in bringing the best education to all of our students. We are all well aware that we must continue to keep our focus, maintain rigorous school curriculum, materials, assessments, and hold strong on accountability measures that include problem-solving and critical thinking skills which are vital to college and career readiness, as well as well-linked to the new California Common Core State Standards.

To continue our drive forward, my plan is to continue our focus and to maintain these top priorities in restoring California’s investment in education for the greater good of our students and our community:

    • Strengthen our culture of collaboration (CCSS, Assessment, Planning, etc.)
    • Increase student achievement and close the achievement gap (Instructional practices, K-2 Literacy, Interventions, EL, At-Risk students, etc.)
    • Empower parents to serve as partners in the educational process and engage them in these processes (SSC, ELAC, DELAC, LCAP, School events, etc.)

I want to keep our main focus in the forefront; student achievement is vital for their and our futures. We must continue to build learning, and thereby focus on results, which will build a collaborative culture for an improved tomorrow.

Best wishes for an awesome school year!
