What can I expect from the counseling office?
School Counselors are student advocates that work in partnership with students, administrators, staff and families. School counselors provide a counseling program to help each student realize potential and in three key areas: social/emotional, academic, and university/career domains. Counselors assist students in acquiring the skills, mindset, and behaviors needed to become successful students, resonsible global citizens, career-ready employees, and lifelong learners.
At NAMS, the school counselor supports students to navigate issues that may be getting in the way of success in school or future planning. We believe that social/emotional, acedemic, and university/career objectives are reachable by students when a counseling program is delivered in a cohesive, inclusive and consistent manner.
