Mental Health Services Act
Pursuant to Education Code Section 49428 as amended by AB-2022 in September, 2018, schools are required to notify pupils and parents or guardians of pupils no less than twice during the school year on how to initiate access to available pupil mental health services on campus or in the community. At Thermalito Union Elementary School District, any pupil or parent or guardian of a pupil may refer a student for mental health services by contacting the school counselor and/or the District School Psychologist, Katie Todd, at (530) 538-2900. The school counselor and/or district school psychologist can also provide information about other options to access mental health services within the community.
