       Gregory Kampf, 55, serves as superintendent of the Thermalito Union School District. He is currently in his 36th year in public education, having begun his career as a classroom aide and noon duty supervisor while a college student. He served as an elementary teacher for ten years in both the Rio School District and Ventura Unified School District. He served as an elementary principal from 1984-92 at E. P. Foster School in Ventura prior to his work as the Director of Personnel/Facility Planning in the Oroville City Elementary School District. Greg was named to the Thermalito superintendency in August of 1998.

During his tenure in Thermalito, Greg has focused on increased student achievement, broader parental participation, facility modernization and expansion, curriculum adoptions, development of Plumas Avenue Elementary School and successful employer-employee collaboration. He was named the Butte County Superintendent of the Year in 2001.

Kampf serves on the Board of Directors of the School Employers Association of California (SEAC) and as Butte County Representative to the Small School Districts Association.

Greg is a graduate of California Lutheran University, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a Masters of Arts degree in Educational Administration.
